That was a cracker of a game. I was lucky enough to be at the final to see the Aussie win. There were 66,000 at Wembley. Quite amazing to see!

..and based on form, would've beaten England...yes :P

even if they won the world cup that year...they still couldn't have been realisticly considered 'world champions', because Australia only fielded players from the ARL, not Superleague that year. For every other country, including NZ, all payers were eligible.
